US Aqua-Chem takes over SPECIFIC equipment company

US water purification systems specialist Aqua-Chem said on Monday it had purchased fluid-handling systems provider Specific Equipment Company based in Texas, for an undisclosed sum, to grow globally.
Specific Equipment offers fluid-handling systems to industry sectors including oil, resort hotels, power generation and general industry.
The deal widens Aqua-Chem’s offering and boosts its presence outside the US, mainly in Mexico and South America, the company said.
