D.S. Brown featured in Wall Street Journal online

When Virgin Galactic’s first “space tourists” take off from the new Spaceport America facility in New Mexico sometime next year, The D.S. Brown Company will have played a part in their successful takeoff.  As discussed in the Wall Street Journal Online (“From 1890 to the Space Age”), D.S. Brown’s Delastic Preformed Pavement Seals will seal pavement joints at the 27-square-mile facility’s 10,000-foot-long runway and protect against premature deterioration.  According to the Journal article, “The North Baltimore, Ohio, company, founded in 1890, has a long history with bridges and highways.  Its products have been used on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the Homer M. Hadley Memorial Bridge (the fifth-longest floating bridge in the world, according to Wikipedia.)”  Partnering with management, Altus acquired D.S. Brown in September 2008.
