IIMAK Expands its Presence in Mexico and Central America with the Acquisition of IDISA

AMHERST (N.Y.) November 5, 2013 – International Imaging Materials Inc. (IIMAK), a global leader in printing, imaging and marking consumable supplies, announces the acquisition of Industrial de Informática (IDISA) thermal transfer ribbon and imaging supplies business. The new company will be known as IIMAK IDISA.

“For two decades, IIMAK and IDISA have enjoyed a mutually successful partnership,” IIMAK President Doug Wagner said, “and our confidence in the Mexican market has never been higher. We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to expand our business, and believe we can create greater value for our customers by forming a single company.”

IIMAK IDISA will serve distributors in Mexico and Central America with the same full line of products related to barcode and variable data printing, including COLUMBIA RIBBONS™ brand thermal transfer ribbons, fax ribbons, hot stamp ribbons, care tag material, thermal printheads and Perfect Roll® rollers.

Company officials stressed that consistency and stability are their goals for the transition. IIMAK IDISA’s management team will continue to be led by Silvestre de la Torre, General Manager and will operate from the company’s Mexico City sales office and Queretaro manufacturing facility.
